Netflix has announced the renewal of "Outer Banks" for a fifth and final season. This announcement was made shortly after the second Poguelandia: An Outer Banks Experience, which took place on November 2 at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
The event attracted over 2,500 fans who enjoyed live performances by Jungle, GloRilla, Remi Wolf, and Chase B. It coincided with the upcoming release of "Outer Banks" Season 4, Part 2 on November 7. Cast members including Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grant, Drew Starkey, Austin North, and Fiona Palomo appeared on stage to present the trailer for the new season.
Fans experienced immersive elements from the show such as recreations of popular locations like JJ’s Charter Boat House and Kildare Co. Surfboard Shop. Attendees could also purchase exclusive merchandise from the Pacsun x OBX collection. Those unable to attend could find related products through ASOS and Netflix.Shop.
Photo opportunities included iconic settings from the series such as a Bait House-themed entry and a large inflatable chicken. Food and drinks were provided by local favorites including The Wreck and Heyward’s Seafood.
This year's Poguelandia followed an inaugural event in Huntington Beach in 2023. Tickets were distributed via Tudum, Netflix's fan-dedicated site which also offered a trip to Santa Monica for attendees.
The Poguelandia event is part of a larger "Pogue Tour," featuring stops in various cities worldwide including Toronto and Seattle. Events included concerts with bands like Arkells and activities such as fish-throwing at Pike Place Market.
Season 4 of "Outer Banks" premiered earlier this fall in Charleston, South Carolina—the filming location for all four seasons—with events that allowed fans early access to screenings.
