Filming has commenced for the new Netflix comedy series "Kacken an der Havel," a creation by Dimitrij Schaad and Alex Schaad. The series is directed by Alex Schaad and Jano Ben Chaabane, with a screenplay penned by Dimitrij Schaad, Alex Schaad, Jano Ben Chaabane, Mats Frey, Gemma Michalski, Isaiah Michalski, and Susan Schadebrodt.

The story revolves around Toni (played by Anton Schneider aka Fatoni), who aspires to leave his hometown of Kacken an der Havel to become a famous rapper. Despite 18 years in Berlin, he remains a pizza baker. His life takes an unexpected turn when his mother dies while rescuing a duck, forcing him to return home. There he encounters his younger stepfather Johnny Carrera (Dimitrij Schaad), a talking baby duck named Tupac (voiced by Jella Haase), quirky villagers, and discovers his 13-year-old son Charly (Sky Arndt).

The cast includes Sky Arndt, Jördis Triebel, Sophia Münster, Jana Münster, Marc Hosemann, Sherine Ciara Merai, Ruth Reinecke, Vincent Redetzki, Taneshia Abt, Matthias Brandt, Edin Hasanovic with Veronica Ferres appearing as a guest star.

Filming is underway in Poland and will continue in Brandenburg over the coming weeks. Warner Bros. International Television Production is producing the series with Bernd von Fehrn and Kristina Löbbert as executive producers. Richard Lamprecht serves as producer.
