Morgenthau attended the U.S.-Poland-Ukraine Veterans Reintegration Forum, highlighting trilateral cooperation. The forum focused on assisting veterans of Russia’s war in returning to work, with sessions on mental health, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and gender-specific support for female veterans.
In Warsaw, Morgenthau spoke at the AmCham Manufacturers’ Forum 2024 and engaged in discussions with tech giants Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. She also joined U.S. Ambassador Mark Brzezinski in talks with women business leaders about economic opportunities for women in Poland and challenges they face.
Meetings were held with Polish government officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology to discuss energy cooperation. This includes plans for Poland's first nuclear power plant by U.S. companies Bechtel and Westinghouse. Discussions also covered Poland’s upcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union in January 2025.
Morgenthau emphasized Poland’s support for Ukraine since Russia's invasion in 2022. With nearly one million Ukrainian refugees hosted by Poland, she acknowledged their role as a logistics hub for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
