The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is set to hear oral arguments in the case concerning Facebook, Inc., identified as Docket No. C-4365. The session will occur at the FTC Headquarters Building, specifically in Room H-532. Due to limited seating, the event will also be webcast for public viewing under the title "Facebook Oral Argument, Docket No. C-4365."
Following the oral argument, an executive session will take place, which will be closed to the public. The decision to close this meeting was unanimous among the Commissioners with a 5-0 vote. Those expected to attend include the Commissioners themselves, their advisors, and other appropriate Commission staff.
In compliance with the Government in the Sunshine Act, it has been determined by both the Federal Trade Commission and certified by its General Counsel that this executive session should remain private according to 5 U.S.C. Sections 552b(c)(10) and 552b(d)(4). It has been concluded that keeping this session closed serves the public interest.
