Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III has announced a series of nominations by the president for appointments in the Air Force. The nominations include promotions to major general and brigadier general.
Air Force Brig. Gen. Barbra S. Buls is nominated for promotion to major general. She currently commands the Air National Guard Readiness Center at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
Brig. Gen. Daniel D. Boyack is also nominated for major general, serving as adjutant general of the Utah National Guard in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Brig. Gen. David B. Johnson is up for major general as well, presently assistant adjutant general at Ohio Air National Guard Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Another nomination for major general is Brig. Gen. Ricky L. Mills, who serves as assistant deputy under secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
For brigadier general appointments, Col. Patric D. Coggin is nominated while commanding the 189th Airlift Wing of the Arkansas Air National Guard in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Col. Jacob L. Hammons is also nominated for brigadier general; he currently leads the Director’s Action Group at the Office of the Director of the Air National Guard at the Pentagon.
Lastly, Col. Daniel S. Zevitz is nominated for brigadier general while serving as directorate judge advocate at the Office of General Counsel within the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, Virginia.
