This year, two senior students were selected as part of the Laredo Noon Optimist program. Osvaldo Pedroza from Lyndon B. Johnson High School and Viviana C. Ramirez from United High School began their day with a mock swearing-in ceremony conducted by CPA Muñoz. The event was attended by Laredo Sector Command Staff, who offered words of wisdom to the students as they considered their future career paths.
The high school seniors toured various departments within the Laredo Sector, gaining insights into the mission, strategy, operations, and challenges faced by U.S. Border Patrol agents. This initiative aimed to foster understanding between U.S. Border Patrol and the public.
To conclude Youth Appreciation Day, a luncheon was held in honor of the students at the IBC Annex by the Laredo Noon Optimist Club.
