Senator Paul Rose receives prestigious Guardian of Small Business award

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has awarded its Guardian of Small Business honor to state Senator Paul Rose. The award was presented at Rose's office in Nashville, recognizing his support for small businesses through legislative efforts.

"Paul Rose has been a stalwart supporter of small business since joining the state senate in 2019," said NFIB State Director Jim Brown. "Senator Rose has voted for meaningful tax, labor, tort and regulatory reforms that are leading to small businesses hiring and investing, which is bolstering Tennessee’s vibrant economy. His 100% NFIB Voting Record in 2023-24 demonstrates his continuing support for small businesses in his district and statewide."

Rose represents District 32, covering Lauderdale and Tipton counties and part of Shelby County. He holds positions as the 2nd vice-chair of the Judiciary Committee and is a member of several other committees including Energy, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Fiscal Review, and Government Operations.

The Guardian of Small Business award is the highest honor given by NFIB to legislators who have shown significant support for small business initiatives. The decision to present this award to Rose was made by the NFIB Tennessee Leadership Council, an advisory board consisting of NFIB members.

In response to receiving the award, Rose stated: “It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized with the NFIB Guardian of Small Business award. I’ve been an NFIB member for more than 20 years through my construction business and have appreciated what the organization does for Main Street businesses. I have been and will continue to be passionate about backing our entrepreneurs and their employees. Supporting them will always be part of my agenda.”
