The United States has announced sanctions against three entities and three individuals due to their involvement in violence against civilians or in the destruction or dispossession of property in the West Bank. These actions are said to undermine peace, security, and stability in the region, affecting both Israelis and Palestinians.
The Department of State is imposing sanctions on Eyal Hari Yehuda Company LTD, Itamar Yehuda Levi, Shabtai Koshlevsky, and Zohar Sabah. According to the statement, "Eyal Hari Yehuda Company LTD provides vehicles such as pickup trucks and SUVs that have been used in construction activities resulting in the expansion of the physical boundaries of sanctioned entities." Itamar Yehuda Levi is noted as the owner of this company and is accused of providing material support to these entities. Shabtai Koshlevsky is identified as a co-founder of Hashomer Yosh, a U.S.-designated non-profit organization. Zohar Sabah has reportedly engaged in acts of violence against Palestinians and was involved in an attack on an elementary school near Jericho.
In parallel, the Department of the Treasury is sanctioning Amana, described as "the largest organization involved in settlement and illegal outpost development in the West Bank," along with its subsidiary Binyanei Bar Amana Ltd. The statement claims that Amana has established numerous illegal settler outposts and participated directly in land dispossession from Palestinians.
The U.S. government reiterated its call for Israel to hold accountable those responsible for violence, forced displacement, and land dispossession. The actions taken are pursuant to Executive Order 14115.
