Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III has announced the president's nominations for several Marine Corps officers to be appointed to the grade of brigadier general.
Marine Corps Col. Timothy S. Brady Jr., currently assistant chief of staff, G-3, Marine Forces Pacific, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii, is among those nominated.
Col. Dustin J. Byrum is also nominated for brigadier general. He serves as executive assistant to the deputy commandant, Aviation, at Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Another nominee is Col. Henry Dolberry Jr., who holds the position of chief of staff at the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Okinawa, Japan.
Col. Lauren S. Edwards has been nominated while serving as senior military advisor in the Office of the Secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon.
The list includes Col. Christopher M. Haar, currently executive assistant to the deputy commandant at Installations and Logistics Department at Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps in Washington, D.C.
Col. Sean P. Hoewing is nominated while serving as director of Air Combat Element within Capabilities Development Directorate at Combat Development and Integration at Quantico, Virginia.
Nominated as well is Col. Ryan M. Hoyle from his role as assistant chief of staff, G-3 with I Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton, California.
Col. David C. Hyman is on the list for his current work as branch head for Manpower Management Officer Assignments under Manpower and Reserve Affairs at Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps in Quantico.
Col. Robert T. Meade's nomination comes while he serves as military assistant to the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps at the Pentagon.
Also included is Col. Joel F. Schmidt who works as executive assistant to the deputy commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs at Headquarters U.S.Marine Corps in Quantico.
Finally, Col Jeremy S Winters rounds out these nominations with his service as assistant chief of staff with Joint Force Headquarters under U.S Cyber Command located in Fort Meade Maryland.
