The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is encouraging libraries to participate in National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) 2025, which will take place from March 2 to March 8. This initiative aims to provide patrons with valuable information on consumer rights, identifying and avoiding scams, and reporting fraud.
In collaboration with the Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services (ABOS), the FTC will host a free webinar designed to assist libraries in integrating NCPW into their programming and outreach efforts. The webinar offers an opportunity for library staff to learn effective ways to engage their communities during this event.
To participate in the webinar, interested individuals can join online at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT/11 a.m. PT using the following link: https://ftc.zoomgov.com/j/1608587778?pwd=RzhHKlbmzNeohHQOuS8Uk3x78mHnJR.1. The meeting ID is 160 858 7778, and the passcode is 737804.
