The Heritage Foundation has expressed its support for Russell Vought following his appointment as the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in President-elect Donald Trump's forthcoming administration. Vought, who previously served as vice president of Heritage Action for America, was confirmed as OMB director in 2020 after serving as acting director since January 2019. Before that, he held the position of deputy director.
Dr. Kevin Roberts, President of The Heritage Foundation, commented on Vought's appointment: "Washington needs to stop treating hardworking Americans like an endless piggy bank. That’s why Russ is the perfect pick to take the reins at OMB in President Trump’s second term.
