The U.S. Department of State has announced its role as a new host for the Science Diplomacy Fellowship offered by the National Science Policy Network (NSPN). This initiative aims to integrate scientific and technical experts into the foreign policy process, complementing existing science and technology programs at the Department.
The fellowship is designed to enhance connections between the Department and the domestic scientific community, specifically targeting early career scientists, engineers, and technologists. Participants will engage in research and collaborate with foreign policy professionals to improve understanding of complex scientific fields and assess their international implications.
"This new program with NSPN clearly expresses the Department of State’s commitment to integrate science and technology policy as a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy," stated an official from the Department.
For more information on this opportunity or application details, interested parties are encouraged to contact the Office of the Science and Technology Adviser or visit the NSPN Science Diplomacy Fellowship website.
