On the occasion of Thai National Day, the United States extended its congratulations to the Kingdom of Thailand. This gesture marks over 190 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
The U.S.-Thailand alliance has seen significant developments this year. The second U.S.-Thailand Strategic and Defense Dialogue was convened to further implement the U.S.-Thai Communiqué on Strategic Alliance and Partnership. Additionally, the United States welcomed Thailand's new government, enhancing bilateral relations in various areas including economic growth, climate change, global health, security cooperation, democracy building, and people-to-people connections.
"Our partnership fosters peace and prosperity in both of our countries," a statement read. "Together, we will face the challenges in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond."
The message concluded with well wishes for Thailand: "Congratulations to all the people of Thailand on this important occasion. We are honored to have you as a friend, partner, and ally. I wish you a peaceful and prosperous year ahead."
