Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken is set to announce the fifth cohort of Anti-Corruption Champions Award (ACCA) honorees at the Department of State in Washington, D.C. The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. ET on Monday, December 9, 2024. This year, ten individuals will be recognized for their efforts in combating corruption globally. Since its inception in 2021, the award has honored 43 people who have worked to support democracy and promote accountability within their nations.
The Secretary's remarks will be available to the press and streamed live on both the Department's homepage and YouTube channel. Media personnel interested in attending must arrive by 1:00 p.m. ET at the Department’s 23rd Street entrance. Entry requires one of several forms of identification: a U.S. Government-issued photo media credential, an official photo ID from their news organization, or a letter from their employer confirming their status as a journalist. Additionally, attendees must present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport.
