Wagoner County resident pleads guilty to distributing child exploitation material

Sovana Xiong, a 32-year-old resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to distributing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma confirmed the plea.

According to the indictment, Xiong distributed visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct over the internet. This activity reportedly took place from October 15, 2023, until April 11, 2024.

The case was investigated by the Tulsa Police Department's Special Investigations Division. U.S. Magistrate Judge Edward C. Snow accepted Xiong's guilty plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered and Xiong will remain in custody under the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.
