McAlester man pleads guilty to felony assault with intent to harm

The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Larry Keith Mickle, a 49-year-old resident of McAlester, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to a felony charge. Mickle was charged with one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm.

According to the indictment, the incident occurred on June 18, 2024. Mickle is accused of assaulting the victim using a dangerous weapon in Pittsburg County. The location falls within the boundaries of the Choctaw Nation Reservation in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case was investigated by both the Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma accepted Mickle's plea and ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed. Until sentencing, Mickle will remain in custody under the supervision of the United States Marshals Service.
