A federal jury in Orlando, Florida, has convicted Jordan Franklin Trexler, a 30-year-old from Casselberry, of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity and producing child sexual abuse material. Trexler could face life imprisonment following his conviction. His sentencing is set for March 12, 2025.
The trial revealed that Trexler groomed a 14-year-old victim through social media by offering marijuana and subsequently meeting her in person. He then intoxicated and sexually abused the minor. Over two weeks, they exchanged messages discussing plans for meetings and specific sexual activities. During this period, Trexler recorded his abuse of the victim and produced explicit images of her while she was asleep.
The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation Tampa Division - Orlando Resident Agency, Oviedo Police Department, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Assistant United States Attorneys Kaley Austin-Aronson and Stephanie McNeff are prosecuting the case.
This conviction is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation. The project combines efforts from various levels of law enforcement to prosecute offenders and rescue victims.
