Former postal worker sentenced for mail crime after guilty plea

Tiffany Isenhart, a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service, has been sentenced to one year and six months of federal probation following her guilty plea to theft of government property. Isenhart, 31, from Rainelle, was also ordered to pay $3,380 in restitution.

Court documents reveal that between December 1, 2023, and April 16, 2024, Isenhart stole $3,380 in money orders while working at the Charmco Post Office. She admitted to using her position as a postal service employee to issue these money orders to herself without making any payments or covering associated fees.

United States Attorney Will Thompson announced the sentencing and praised the investigative efforts of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service-Office of Inspector General.

The hearing was overseen by United States Magistrate Judge Omar J. Aboulhosn who delivered the sentence. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Alexander A. Redmon.
