The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced the latest round of awards from the Social Impact Partnerships to Pay for Results Act (SIPPRA) program, with six recipients eligible to receive a total of $46.9 million in payments if they meet their expected outcomes.

SIPPRA is designed as a pay-for-results initiative where federal payments are contingent on achieving predefined goals. The program supports projects aimed at measurable improvements, such as reducing homelessness and enhancing children's health, while also cutting government costs. It focuses on leveraging data and evidence-based practices to empower communities and improve lives.

"Through the SIPPRA program, we are committed to driving meaningful change by funding initiatives that deliver results for our communities," stated U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo. "With financial backing from Treasury, these new projects will address critical challenges and create lasting impacts while encouraging efficiency and accountability."

The awardees include:

- The City of Boise, Idaho: Awarded $7.5 million for permanent supportive housing and services targeting long-term homelessness with high service needs. Boise can receive up to $6.6 million if it successfully reduces healthcare and judicial system costs.

- The City of Jacksonville, Florida: Awarded $5.8 million for implementing universal nurse home visits for new parents and an early literacy initiative aimed at reducing infant emergency medical care visits. Jacksonville could receive up to $5 million based on success metrics.

- The School Board of Leon County, Florida: Awarded $4.6 million for similar programs as Jacksonville’s with eligibility for up to $4 million if successful in reducing emergency medical care visits.

- The County of New Castle, Delaware: Received $11 million for temporary housing assistance combined with case management services aiming at increasing permanent housing; potential receipt up to $9.6 million upon meeting targets.

- The City of New York, New York: Granted $6.3 million under the Coordinated Behavioral Health Task Force Initiative focusing on unsheltered homelessness; eligibility extends to receiving up to $5.5 million upon achieving stable housing increases.

- The County of Spartanburg, South Carolina: Secured $11.5 million for pre-natal care enhancements and postpartum support through home nurse visits; potential earnings reach up to $10 million depending on reduced ER visits and maternal depression rates.

Each award includes funds reserved for independent evaluation which determines payment eligibility based on project success.

SIPPRA funding follows a competitive selection process informed by application strength and input from related commissions and councils.

Since 2019, SIPPRA has awarded over $74 million across ten projects nationwide.
