A Sioux City man, Rodney Lamard Hall, II, aged 31, has been sentenced to 106 months in federal prison. He was found guilty of possessing a distribution quantity of methamphetamine and a firearm related to drug trafficking activities.

Court documents reveal that Hall was caught with pills containing approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a loaded nine-millimeter pistol equipped with an extended magazine. At the time of the offense, he was on probation for previous charges involving a firearm and marijuana possession from April 2023 under the jurisdiction of the Iowa District Court for Woodbury County.

Upon completing his prison term, Hall will undergo four years of supervised release. It is important to note that parole is not available in the federal system.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal from the Southern District of Iowa. The investigation was conducted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office alongside the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
