Chairman Tom Cole of Oklahoma expressed his support for H.R. 10515, known as the American Relief Act, 2025. In a statement, he highlighted the differences between Republican and Democrat leadership regarding the bill.

Cole stated, “The contrast between Republican and Democrat leadership could not be greater tonight. Just now they voted to shut down the government and deny Americans - who desperately need help - critical recovery resources.” He emphasized his commitment to supporting communities affected by disasters, saying, "I stood with communities, farmers, and everyday families who’ve faced destruction and monumental loss."

Cole stressed the importance of aiding citizens in rebuilding their lives after disasters. "We have a responsibility to help our fellow citizens rebuild and restore," he said. He believes that this legislation represents resilience and unity in challenging times.
