Netflix is set to make its debut in NFL broadcasting with a special Christmas Day doubleheader. The games will feature the Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens facing the Houston Texans. Produced by CBS Sports, this marks Netflix's first-ever venture into live sports streaming.

The event promises entertainment beyond football, with music performances from renowned artists. Mariah Carey will open the broadcast with her hit holiday song "All I Want for Christmas Is You," while Beyoncé is scheduled to perform during the halftime show of the Ravens-Texans game.

In preparation for the big day, Netflix launched a promotional campaign featuring a blimp tour across seven cities, starting and ending in Houston. Stops included New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Nashville, and Dallas. Accompanying this were hot cocoa trucks stationed at various sports events in Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta, offering fans stadium bags and chances to win prizes such as tickets to the games and free Netflix subscriptions for a year.

To further engage audiences, Netflix enlisted several celebrities to promote the games. Among them are comedians Bert Kreischer and Nate Bargatze, actors Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz from their upcoming film "Back in Action," as well as "Cobra Kai" stars William Zabka and Ralph Macchio.

The broadcast has attracted several high-profile advertising partners. FanDuel will serve as the exclusive pregame sportsbook betting partner with a dedicated segment featuring analysis aligned with their wagering odds. Verizon takes on the role of kickoff sponsor for an exciting pre-kick segment. Other sponsors include Snickers for pre-game promotions, along with Johnnie Walker, WhatsApp, Call of Duty, and Duolingo running custom commercials during breaks.

Netflix's inaugural NFL broadcast kicks off on December 25th with Chiefs vs. Steelers at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT followed by Ravens vs. Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT.
