U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross | U.S. Department of Justice
A man from Palmyra, New York, has pleaded guilty to charges of producing child pornography. John C. Aldrich, IV, aged 54, admitted his guilt before Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford in Rochester. The offense could lead to a prison sentence ranging from 15 to 30 years and a fine of up to $250,000.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle P. Rossi is overseeing the case and provided details about the investigation that began in March 2024. Authorities were alerted to Aldrich's actions involving the physical and sexual abuse of a minor in Palmyra. Evidence collected included messages between Aldrich and the victim that documented ongoing abuse over more than a year starting when the victim was 14.
The investigation involved collaboration between New York State Police in Lyons under Acting Major Kevin Sucher and Homeland Security Investigations led by Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan.
Aldrich is set for sentencing on March 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., presided over by Judge Wolford.
