U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that Cameron Stroke, 43, from Depew, New York, has been sentenced to 124 months in prison for possession of child pornography. This sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who managed the case, explained that Stroke had previously been convicted on a federal charge of possession of child pornography in October 2019 and was sentenced to five years’ probation at that time. On May 23, 2023, during a home inspection by U.S. Probation Officers at Stroke’s residence, an unauthorized cell phone was discovered in his possession. A forensic examination of the device revealed approximately 181 images and 12 videos of child pornography, including some depicting prepubescent minors.
The investigation leading to this sentencing was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia and the Town of Tonawanda Police Department led by Chief James P. Stauffiger.
