Orleans Parish man faces charges for alleged bank robbery

Juan K. Simpson, a 30-year-old resident of New Orleans, has been indicted for bank robbery, as announced by U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans. The indictment alleges that on November 25, 2024, Simpson robbed a Capital One Bank on South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans.

If found guilty, Simpson could face up to twenty years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release following any imprisonment term. Additionally, he would be required to pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.

U.S. Attorney Evans emphasized that the indictment is only a charge and that Simpson's guilt must be established beyond a reasonable doubt.
