In addition to discussing Syria, both officials addressed ongoing efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza that would ensure the release of hostages and enhance humanitarian aid delivery. They also talked about implementing measures related to halting hostilities between Israel and Lebanon. Secretary Blinken stressed the importance of continued support for Lebanon's legitimate security institutions such as the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces.
