The Department of Defense has released an updated list of "Chinese military companies" operating in the United States. This update is part of the requirements set by Section 1260H of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021.

This ongoing effort aims to highlight and counter the People's Republic of China's Military-Civil Fusion strategy. This strategy is designed to support the modernization goals of the People's Liberation Army by acquiring advanced technologies and expertise from Chinese companies, universities, and research programs that are presented as civilian entities.

The Department will continue to update this list with additional entities as necessary. The U.S. Government maintains the right to take further actions on these entities under other authorities besides Section 1260H.
