Jaime Ramos-Gonzalez, a 64-year-old resident of Lexington, Nebraska, was sentenced on January 3, 2025, in federal court in Omaha for distributing methamphetamine. Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter Jr. imposed a sentence of 135 months in prison on Ramos-Gonzalez. Following his incarceration, he will serve a five-year term of supervised release as there is no parole in the federal system.

The investigation into Ramos-Gonzalez began in the summer of 2023 when the Nebraska State Patrol identified him as a meth distributor in the Lexington/Kearney area. A vehicle tracking device was installed on his car to monitor his movements. On September 20, 2023, the tracker showed that Ramos-Gonzalez's vehicle traveled from Kearney to Omaha. Upon his return to Kearney, authorities executed a search warrant and stopped him. During questioning, Ramos-Gonzalez admitted to having two pounds of methamphetamine in his car. The search led to the recovery of 970 grams of pure methamphetamine.

The Nebraska State Patrol conducted the investigation leading to this case.
