CES 2025, a major technology event hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), commenced today in Las Vegas. The event, running until January 10, brings together leaders from startups and established tech companies to discuss and showcase innovations in various fields including AI, digital health, sustainability, mobility, and quantum computing.
Gary Shapiro, CEO and Vice Chair of CTA, expressed enthusiasm for the event: “We’re thrilled to DIVE IN to CES 2025, which will show innovations that improve the lives of millions of people, create new jobs, and catalyze global economic growth.” Kinsey Fabrizio, President of CTA, added: “There is truly no place on earth like CES.”
The opening included the State of the Industry Address by Shapiro and Fabrizio. They emphasized technology's role in empowering individuals. Shapiro noted the importance of discussing how technology transforms individual lives alongside its broader economic impacts.
CTA announced a $5 million investment into its Innovation for All Fund and introduced a collaboration with Quantum World Congress. Additionally, they launched the Global Innovation Scorecard to recognize countries fostering technological innovation.
Keynote speakers included NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang who unveiled new products such as the GeForce RTX 50 and Agentic AI. Toyota partnered with NVIDIA for autonomous vehicle development. Panasonic Holdings Group CEO Yuki Kusumi discussed sustainability initiatives and introduced new products like OASYS HVAC system and Umi wellness platform.
CES Media Days featured press conferences from several major brands including AMD, Bosch, Samsung, Sony among others. Innovations showcased at CES Unveiled Las Vegas included products like Kirin Holdings Electric Salt Spoon and Xpeng Aeroht Land Aircraft Carrier.
Brian Comiskey and Melissa Harrison presented CES 2025 Tech Trends to Watch covering topics such as quantum computing and energy transition. More than 300 conference sessions are scheduled during CES 2025 across various themes.
Attendees can use the CES App for navigation and updates. CTA also supports local sustainability efforts through its Green Grants Program funding $125,000 to Nevada organizations focused on sustainability.
