Schenectady man pleads guilty to meth distribution

Patrick Tucker, a 28-year-old resident of Schenectady, New York, has entered a guilty plea to charges of distributing methamphetamine. The announcement was made by United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Frank A. Tarentino III, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New York Division.

Tucker admitted to distributing approximately 49 grams of methamphetamine through three separate transactions that took place between January and March 2023.

He now faces a potential prison sentence ranging from 5 to 40 years, along with a possible fine of up to $5 million. Additionally, he could be subject to a term of supervised release lasting from at least 4 years up to life. Sentencing will be determined by a judge based on the statute violated, U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and other factors.

The case was investigated by the DEA and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Dustin C. Segovia.
