The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that users of the SENTRI lane need to update their information due to a change in license plates in Tamaulipas. This update is necessary for the smooth operation of the system.

"Con el reciente requerimiento de cambio de placas en el estado de Tamaulipas, la oficina de SENTRI del Puerto de Entrada de Laredo, estará preparado para ayudar a los participantes de SENTRI a actualizar su información en los sistemas CBP, para asegurar una transición sin problemas," said Karla Salinas, Supervisor at the Port of Entry in Laredo.

Drivers using the SENTRI lane must present documentation verifying their new license plate number when crossing into the United States. After verification, they will be directed to the SENTRI office located at the Juárez-Lincoln Bridge to formalize the change.

Alternatively, updates can also be made through the official SENTRI CBP website at https://ttp.dhs.gov.
