TechNet has introduced the Innovation Legal Center (ILC), a new initiative aimed at supporting American innovation through legal advocacy. This center will engage in cases and amicus curiae opportunities to safeguard innovation at both state and federal levels.
Linda Moore, President and CEO of TechNet, emphasized the importance of this initiative by stating, "There has never been a more important time to foster American innovation." She added that as courts increasingly influence policy, the ILC would be crucial in maintaining U.S. leadership in technological advancement.
The ILC aims to be the voice of the innovation economy within legal frameworks. It plans to challenge unlawful regulatory actions, file amicus briefs in significant cases, defend pro-innovation laws against challenges, and provide legal expertise to judges, lawmakers, and regulators. The center boasts some of the nation's top litigators and advocates.
Carl Holshouser leads the ILC as Executive Vice President with Drew Hudson serving as litigation director. Ebbie Yazdani contributes policy and legal expertise as Counsel and Federal Policy Director.
TechNet is a bipartisan network representing technology CEOs and senior executives advocating for growth in the innovation economy across federal and state levels. Its membership spans startups to major companies across various sectors including IT, AI, e-commerce, energy, transportation, cybersecurity, venture capital, and finance.
