According to an AIA spokesperson, "Trade continues to fuel economic growth and innovation in American aerospace and defense; over a 40-year period, the industry experienced over 2000 percent growth in exports. We’ve been dominant in this sector since before the Reagan Administration."

The statement further emphasized the connection between trade and tariffs, expressing eagerness to engage with the Trump administration. The goal is to explore how tariff policy can support U.S. products while ensuring that the industry grows in alignment with national security needs and maintains its status as a leading high-technology manufacturing sector based in the United States.
