A Kansas man has admitted to distributing child sexual abuse materials online. According to court documents, Sebastian Grattan, 28, from Wichita, pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.

Grattan acknowledged creating an account on a messaging app and using it to distribute these materials in November 2023. He is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service and awaits sentencing on April 10, 2025. The maximum penalty he faces is 20 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine his sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

The investigation into this case is being conducted by the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Wichita Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly Gordon is handling the prosecution.

This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. This program aims to enhance efforts by federal, state, and local authorities to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet while also identifying and rescuing victims.
