Two Brooklyn Park men have admitted guilt in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy that spanned central and northern Minnesota, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick.

Court documents reveal that on June 22, 2024, a Minnesota State Patrol trooper stopped a white Ford Expedition on Highway 10 in Royalton, Minnesota. The trooper observed several signs of drug trafficking, including tools and paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The driver, Dillon Peter-Cody Clemens, 38, and passenger Jacob Seth Cobb, 30, both had revoked licenses. They claimed they were headed to Motley, Minnesota, to buy a motorcycle but could not provide details about the seller. A K9 unit indicated the presence of drugs at the driver's side door seam. A search uncovered a package suspected to be one pound of methamphetamine. Both men were arrested.

Clemens and Cobb faced charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Clemens entered his guilty plea in U.S. District Court before Judge Katherine M. Menendez for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Cobb also pleaded guilty to the same charge before Judge Menendez on January 21, 2025. Sentencing dates are yet to be determined.

The investigation was carried out by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Syngen Kanassatega is handling the prosecution.
