Laredo Sector honors youth achievers in January ceremony

Laredo, Texas – The Laredo Sector Border Patrol held its Youth of the Month ceremony for January, recognizing students from high schools across the area for their academic achievements. The event took place on January 28 at St. Augustine High School.

The ceremony honored 11 students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance. Border Patrol Agent and Master of Ceremony Matthew C. Mendez introduced the honorees. Guest speakers included Patrol Agent in Charge Reymundo Enriquez and Community Leader Ruben Bazan, an alumnus of St. Augustine High School. They discussed the importance of the Youth of the Month award and the commitment required to earn such recognition.
