During the conversation, both leaders highlighted the significance of increasing Allied defense spending. They also discussed the need to expand defense industrial base capacity across the Atlantic. Secretary Hegseth underscored that "the United States is fully committed, under President Trump's leadership, to pursuing these objectives in the face of today's threats."
