Two individuals have been indicted on federal human trafficking charges, accused of forcing two minor girls into prostitution. The indictment states that Roderick Bill Norseweather, 25, and Tajahnae Johnson, 21, allegedly recruited the minors for commercial sex acts using force and coercion between December 29, 2024, and January 3, 2025.
The charges include transporting the minors across state lines with the intent of engaging them in prostitution. Both Norseweather and Johnson face two counts each of sex trafficking of minors and transportation of minors for illegal sexual activity.
Currently held in custody pending trial, Norseweather and Johnson could face sentences ranging from a minimum of 15 years to life imprisonment if convicted.
U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez stated: "Norseweather and Johnson are accused of transporting the minors...with the intent that they engage in prostitution." Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, was also involved in making this announcement.
