Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents intercepted a human smuggling attempt on February 4, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 a.m. when agents stopped a Dodge Ram truck at the 31-mile marker on the west access road of I-35.

Upon conducting the vehicle stop, agents removed all passengers from the truck. Record checks revealed that the individuals were in the United States illegally, originating from Mexico and Guatemala. Each person was processed according to their immigration status.

The truck involved in this incident was identified as stolen and subsequently handed over to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
