The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced that two Baltimore men, Dominic Wise and Darius Gissentaner, both aged 33, have been indicted on firearms charges. The indictment was issued by a federal grand jury on February 5, 2025.
Acting U.S. Attorney John Gurganus stated that the indictment alleges that on July 8, 2024, in York County, Pennsylvania, Wise was found in possession of a Glock 9mm pistol and Gissentaner with a 9mm SCCY pistol. Both individuals were reportedly felons prohibited from possessing firearms. Additionally, it is alleged that the SCCY pistol possessed by Gissentaner had an obliterated serial number.
The investigation into this case was conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives alongside the Pennsylvania State Police. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Monroe is responsible for prosecuting the case.
If convicted on the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm, each individual faces up to 15 years imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. For possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number, there is a potential penalty of five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations at this stage. All charged individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
