Lamondra Beckley, a 43-year-old resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, received a sentence of 147 months in prison on November 10, 2021. The sentencing took place in federal court located in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Beckley had earlier entered a guilty plea to charges that included possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
During the plea process, Beckley admitted that on March 11, 2021, he was found with approximately 114 grams of methamphetamine. He intended to sell this quantity at a gas station in Fairview Heights, Illinois. At the time of his arrest by DEA agents, Beckley also had a firearm and was recognized as having previous felony convictions.
The investigation into this case was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel T. Kapsak handled the prosecution.
