Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to embark on a diplomatic tour, beginning with a visit to Munich on February 13. During his stay in Germany, Secretary Rubio will participate in the Munich Security Conference, engaging with international partners to discuss various U.S. priorities. He is also scheduled to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting while in Munich.
Following his engagements in Germany, Secretary Rubio will continue his travels from February 15-18, visiting Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. His meetings with senior officials in these countries aim to promote U.S. interests by advancing regional cooperation, stability, and peace.
According to Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce, the trip's focus includes efforts to secure the release of American and other hostages held by Hamas. Additionally, Secretary Rubio will work on progressing to Phase II of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and addressing the destabilizing activities attributed to the Iranian regime and its proxies.
