The United States Border Patrol has appointed Erich Rohr as the new Patrol Agent in Charge (PAIC) of Rangeley Station. Rohr's career with the US Border Patrol began in January 1997, as part of Class 464.
Rohr's initial assignment was in McAllen, Texas, where he held roles such as Firearms Instructor and Field Training Officer. In 2008, he moved to Jackman, Maine, serving in various capacities including Supervisory Border Patrol Agent and Acting Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge (DPAIC). By 2017, Rohr took on a supervisory role in Grand Marais, Minnesota, working along the international border with Canada. He also served temporarily as Acting PAIC at Grand Marais Station. In 2024, Rohr became DPAIC at Rangeley.
Rohr has been involved in several operational details across sectors like San Diego and Tucson during periods of heightened cross-border activity. His assignments have included positions at the USBP Academy and within various directorates reporting to Customs and Border Protection leadership.
Before joining the US Border Patrol, Rohr served as a Military Policeman with the United States Marine Corps.
Rangeley Station covers an area that includes 81 miles of land border between the US and Canada. It is characterized by remote areas with dense forests and mountains.
