Mr. Alex Velez-Green, performing the duties of Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, held a meeting with Bahrain National Security Advisor Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the Pentagon. The discussions focused on reviewing U.S.-Bahrain defense cooperation and exchanging views on regional security issues.

During the meeting, Mr. Velez-Green acknowledged Bahrain's support for U.S.-led regional operations as the host of USNAVCENT. He emphasized the importance of their broader security partnership, highlighting Bahrain's status as a major non-NATO Ally.

Mr. Velez-Green also encouraged continued collaboration to address shared threats in alignment with President Trump's agenda for peace and prosperity in the region.
