During the meetings, Secretary Hegseth acknowledged Poland's hospitality and its role as host to the largest number of U.S. forces on NATO's eastern flank. On February 15, Secretary Hegseth, along with Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, visited U.S. and Polish soldiers in Powidz. The visit highlighted the joint training efforts aimed at improving readiness and strengthening deterrence.
