A Biddeford resident has been sentenced to a decade in prison for drug-related charges. Tyrone Fleurimont, aged 36, received the sentence from Chief U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker at the U.S. District Court in Portland, Maine. Following his imprisonment, Fleurimont will be under supervised release for five years.

The case dates back to April 2024 when investigators from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) conducted a search at an apartment associated with Fleurimont in Biddeford. During the search, agents confiscated significant quantities of drugs: approximately 180 grams of methamphetamine pills, 90 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 293 grams of cocaine, and 66 grams of cocaine base. Additionally, they found cash, a 9mm handgun with a loaded magazine containing 18 rounds, and baggies with about 14 grams of cocaine on Fleurimont's person.

Fleurimont's criminal history includes convictions in Massachusetts and Maine. His past offenses include a conviction in 2013 for possessing a Class A drug with intent to distribute, a firearm possession without a permit charge in 2016, and unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in 2019.

The DEA led the investigation into this case with support from the Biddeford Police Department.
