A federal jury in South Florida has found Denzil Olajuwon Stewart, 30, guilty of distributing narcotics after he was caught selling 276.7 grams of pure methamphetamine. The incident took place on December 28, 2023, when law enforcement officers observed Stewart leaving his Vero Beach home in a white Porsche SUV. He drove to another location approximately 30 minutes away and sold the methamphetamine to a buyer. This buyer then resold the drugs to a confidential informant, with Stewart's fingerprints later identified on the plastic shopping bag containing the meth.

The jury convicted Stewart of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute at least 50 grams of methamphetamine and distribution of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine. He now faces a potential sentence ranging from ten years to life imprisonment.

The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne for the Southern District of Florida; Special Agent in Charge Deanne L. Reuter of the DEA Miami Field Division; and Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers.

The investigation was conducted by DEA Port Saint Lucie and the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, while Assistant U.S. Attorneys Christopher Hudock and Michael Porter led the prosecution.
