Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently engaged in a conversation with Kenyan President William Ruto. The discussion focused on the ongoing conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, particularly addressing the capture of Goma and Bukavu by the Rwanda-backed M23 armed group.
Spokesperson Tammy Bruce conveyed that both leaders stressed there is no military solution to this conflict. They called for an immediate ceasefire and reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.
