James Reyes, a 55-year-old resident of Martinsburg, West Virginia, has confessed to participating in a significant drug trafficking operation in the Eastern Panhandle. Reyes admitted guilt to charges of cocaine distribution. Court documents reveal that he was involved in selling drugs for this organization.
Reyes could face a federal prison sentence ranging from 20 years to life. The final sentencing will be determined by a federal district court judge, who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Omps-Botteicher is handling the prosecution for the government.
