They assert that such actions are "patently unlawful," challenging Congressional authority and violating constitutional principles regarding the separation of powers.
The coalition demands the reinstatement of the dismissed Commissioners to mitigate any damage caused and urges the administration to refrain from further undermining agency independence. Additionally, they call for the revocation of the Executive Order mandating Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) review for independent agencies.
